Our concept is innovative in that it not only uses waste heat to generate steam for sterilization, but also operates absorption chillers to provide cooling. In addition, we will explore the new approach of using cooling derived from waste heat directly for some sterilization processes.
The cooling is foreseen to be used by the waste incineration plant itself and adjacent buildings in the adjacent industrial area. E.g. a starting point for industrial symbiosis. In addition, we will explore the novel approach of using waste heat-derived cooling directly for certain sterilization processes. This system will help maximize resource efficiency by putting otherwise lost energy to productive use.
